You know how some people can just rub you the wrong way? You know what I’m talking about, don’t you? You see them coming, and you know they’re going to talk forever, and it’s going to drive you nuts. Your mind races with ways to avoid another conversation with them. Your thinking to yourself, “Can’t they just find someone else to talk with?”Let’s face it, all of us have been there and we all know a person in our life that fits that description. So…what do you do? Allow me to share 3 thoughts.

1. You are THAT PERSON to someone else. (Booh-Ya!)

There are people who see you coming and think to themselves, “Can’t they just find someone else to talk with?” That’s correct…you are not the center of the universe, and you are not perfect either.

2. Instead of thinking they are coming to you again, think of them as being sent to you again.

God is always at work, and He is in all things. Instead of trying to figure a way out of the conversation, try to find where God is working in their life, and help them see it.

3. God might be sending them to change you, instead of you changing them. (Just saying.)

Sometimes, God uses people we don’t click with to change a click in us.  I’ve learned that instead of worrying about the other person, I should be asking myself, What’s in me that makes me want to run the other way when I see this person coming? I think if all of us would slow down, and do that one little thing, we might just find the trouble is really with us, and maybe not with them.

Let’s face it head on. There are all kinds of false information and scams out there. It comes to our inbox on Facebook and is posted on our Facebook walls. False information and scams come to our private emails, twitter accounts and various others place in our cyber world also. So, what can you do about it?

Here are just a few Ideas to get you pointed in the right direction before you re-post something not true or get taken advantage of.

1. Use a search engine.
I like using Google. (e.g. type in company name and the word scam in the search)
That will often pull up information about any scam attached to your subject being searched.

2. Trust your feelings
If something sounds fishy it probably is. If it sounds to good to be true it probably is.

3. Be a snope
Snopes is a great website to find the truth. Their site says, “the definitive Internet reference source for urban legends, folklore, myths, rumors, and misinformation.” Click here to visit their site.
