Writing is a great way to achieve clarity in your life. Thinking through your life is great but writing down what you want out of your life is even greater. When you write your goals down, or the things you want to change, or the things you want to accomplish…the fog clears.
The fog clears because once you put thoughts to paper, it moves from a floating thought that can be sucked out to space, to a clear goal to achieve. It has been said, “Thoughts disentangle themselves when they pass through the lips and fingertips.” That is so true. Once you write it down you become more accountable to see it through.
What are the things you want to accomplish in the next 5 to 10 years? I bet you could make a great list if you really tried. Go ahead and dream big and write them down. I have my own list and it has helped me tremendously.
Here is a list of topics you might want to use.
1. Personal (e.g. write a book or books)
2. Finances (e.g. becoming debt free)
3. Family (e.g. create memories together)
4. Travel (e.g. top places you want to visit)
5. Crazy Bucket List (e.g. skydive, surf)
